…and back where I started, cheye13. But I think this project accomplished what it was meant to. I allowed myself to change a little, without fear. Course it annoyed some, but it didn’t really upset anyone. Now I can change whenever I want to (and yes that is directed at my url but purposefully vague). For now I’m back with my main alias, but I know I can change a little something (my url) without people forgetting me or forgetting myself. I’m always changing and what better reflects that than my tumblr?

Well, it’s that time of year. The most wonderful time of year, in my opinion. The 25 Days of Christmas Countdown is playing on ABC Family. Cartoon snowflakes are on every television channel, paper snowflakes are in every classroom window, and real snowflakes are gracing every town that actually gets snow. Seasonal songs are being played on the radio stations, in the stores, and everywhere else. “Blue Blue Christmas” is the only music to which I am drifting off to sleep. Wish lists are being asked for and Secret Santa names are being drawn. Winter break is approaching, parties are being planned as the weather grows colder with each day. Parents, children, and everyone in between grow more and more excited with each breath and each day that passes, knowing their beloved traditions are growing closer and closer.

My favorite part about the holidays is the gifts.

Not getting them, but giving them.

I do love receiving gifts, of course. I enjoy seeing what people think I’ll enjoy and what reminds them of me, how they think of me related to material things (or not, depending on how creative they are). But more so, I enjoy giving gifts, running my finger down a list of names and checking them off as I find the perfect gift, throwing a few extra into the basket when I just can’t pass up one of the perfect gifts. I love wrapping the gifts, cutting the fancy paper and the tape, wrapping the ribbon and creatively arranging the extra, tagging the names on festive stickers. The best part about the gifts are getting to hand them their owner. To watch them (from afar) as they unwrap it and smile either politely or genuinely before putting it aside and reaching for the next.

But it’s not really the gifts I love, but the people I get the for.

Every year on Christmas Eve, my family gets together to share each others’ company, sing, eat, and celebrate our Christmas.

To me, Christmas is country music, snow and winter, the Christmas Countdown on ABC Family, last-minute shopping, late night drives, and mostly, my own family.

Christmas is and will always be my favorite holiday - December, my favorite month.

I have a feeling this will be incredibly relevant this month. I’ve got so much to deal with. On top of my gradually expanding schoolwork and chores, I’ve got NaNoWriMo and the play to deal with, as well as HOL classes and the upcoming holidays. While I have great fanfiction ideas, my original ideas have been extremely lacking.

I’m not entirely up for explaining it right now, which should explain it quite well. I didn’t get home till about 8 tonight and all I want to do is sleep. I’ve got 6 art workbook assignments due Monday along with other homework and a work party tomorrow. It’s the 5th day of nano and I’ve got 1777 words.

I’ve decided after 300 more nano words, I can go to bed and figure out what to do from there. It should be more comfortable.

Anyway, I hope I conveyed my point clearly because I am so tired I lack the energy to move my eyes back to the top of this post.

October definitely snuck up on me.

As much as I love fall - the holidays, the colors, the weather, etc - I’m not really feeling it quite yet. So that nixed anything season/month/holiday-related.

Molly gave me some wonderful suggestions, but I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, so I couldn’t really give her all the info. But they were all amazing and kick-started some of my own ideas.

I narrowed my current fields of interest to the following:

• Doctor Who
• Supernatural
• Disney
• Chuck
• IB

But I couldn’t pinpoint Disney (it’s a general and complete adoration), and I don’t want IB to define me (at least not yet). I haven’t been able to decipher my feelings about season six of Doctor Who just yet, and I feel I should probably catch up on Chuck before I grab a url based on it (I just love it so much tho). And I’m left with Supernatural!

I immediately thought of beautifulmindbrother.

I think the last Supernatural episode was one of the best we’ve had in a very, very long time, mostly because it really got my heart-rate up and honestly frightened me. During the hiatus between seasons, all I could really think about was how Sam was doing with his wall down and what torture he was struggling through. Watching now and seeing him so scared (I feel I should mention I’m torn about who’s my favorite brother right now…) and confused, all I really want to do is hold him. Then there’s a possibility that we’ve lost Bobby and Dean has his monologue/phone call that reminds us of how much those boys have lost and how little they have left.
